I do. And even if I'm best at supporting, I have to play different roles due to composition necessities. That is, another one of us wants to support so badly that I cannot say no :) he's good at it, too, so everything's fine. At first I was the jungler, but it's not really my role - and can play decently only Alistar. Now I'm the AP carry, and even if I'm good with Cassio or Ahri, I'm best at Lux. Which can be used as support, too. So... you know where I'm going: I'll train hard with Lux while also supporting in solo queue :)
I've tried support Lux many times in normal and she's always one of my favourite choices. I've never tried her in ranked before, so let's give her a shot! (I don't build her as a true support, just switch runes and masteries and vary the opening items).
First game, noone wants to support. Well, I DO: be prepared!
I choose Lux, noone complains, and we're Caitlyn, Alistar, Lux, Ahri, Jax vs. Malzahar, Poppy (Jungle), Volibear (support), Teemo and Vayne.
Vayne-Voli lane is usually hard due to the strong CCs and beefiness of the bear, but today was one of the "cage" days (when all the skillshots are right) and Cait ended up with a double kill very early. We won our lane after a few well-fought fights, and even if other lanes were almost even, we were absolutely dominating, pushing, ganking and roaming. So eventually they surrendered.
